To clear things up I made this topic because it was an issue that people need to be aware of as is wasn't public knowledge. This would allow owners to get it checked out if they had any problems. I didn't make this thread as I believe it's a threat to life.
Now Mazda have made it a recall, that's great. They will repair and replace any effected camshafts and turbos. Their repair procedure is very in depth and there should be no remains of metal when the car is given back to the customer.
Newmazdaowner - everyone is entitled to their opinions and Mar.eng was simply talking about the DPF in relation to the wear of the camshaft. We don't police the forum to a high degree as telling people where to post what as I personally find that very annoying.
