Might be helpful to tell which car you have.

Well as I posted in the mazda 6 gen 3 forum I thought it might be obvious. ;)
With regards contacting the garage, is there a TB that has been released that I can quote them? It's done 26k and was purchased new in Sept 2013.

Cheers

There is no TSB for this issue, you should mentioned loss of power and loss of brake force , and they will do a tests.

I agree with xjaguar, at least complete the profile questions. Personally, I put all my details in my signature, so there is no doubt what car I'm in.

Does anyone can confirm that all dealers have received note from Mazda about this issue? Note number is R074/14C and issue date is 05/02/2015.

Well if Mazda are like other car manufacturers, unless there is an official VOSA government recall issued, any TSB from a manufacturer is just an advisory matter and how to deal with that specific problem should an owner complain - individual dealers are expected to check the Mazda dealer website and download them. If it's a VOSA recall that's a different matter and letters have to be sent to owners with affected vehicles, telling them to contact the dealership.

I have just checked the VOSA website and the last recall was http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls ... =Blank&tx=

That's my understanding anyhow

I don't think my car is affected yet (or if it ever will be) but is certainly in the age range and VIN number range. I contacted Mazda UK about this stating my concerns and they're arranging for my car to go in for an assessment at my local garage. The full response from Mazda was:
"Thank you for the contact in relation to your Mazda6. Having read the information we note the concerns you may have over the reliability, I can assure you however that this concern raised put into perspective with the number of vehicles sold globally, has affected less than 2% of vehicles. Like with most components, no parts are infallible and we have a comprehensive warranty in place should there be a need to claim.

I am not sure where the information has come from that’s mentioned, time to time we issue repair guidance to our dealers to help to ensure the correct diagnosis and repair procedures are carried out, the information we have provided to our dealers is just that.

If there are any concerns with the running of your vehicle, your local dealer will be able to carry out an assessment to provide peace of mind. If the above suggestion meets with your approval, please provide your contact number and the name of your local Mazda dealer, we will do the rest for them to make contact".
